Event Details

The global finance sector in 2024 is grappling with a myriad of issues shaped by economic conditions, geopolitical events, evolving regulatory landscapes, and navigating elections in major economies. Within this context, Ethical Finance Global 2024, that will take place in-person, in the RBS Conference Centre in Edinburgh on Wednesday 25th September 2024, will explore the extent to which these market forces will contrive to catalyse progress or justify procrastination in the sustainable finance sector.

The Chartered Banker Institute is, once again, delighted to be supporting the Summit with Managing Director Giles Cuthbert joining to talk about the ethics of AI and 2023 Young Banker of the Year Award winner Craig Herd presenting his proposal to help customers living with dementia.

Across a series of keynotes, interviews, firesides and panels, the Summit will tackle navigating uncertainty, leadership, and purpose in times of crisis, delivering a just transition, and developing practical solutions for climate and nature. Confirmed speakers include:

  • Sacha Sadan, Director of ESG, Financial Conduct Authority
  • Bogolo Kenewendo, Economist and Former Cabinet Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry, Botswana
  • Satya Tripathi, Former UN Assistant Secretary-General
  • Dame Susan Rice, Chair, GEFI Global Steering Group
